Dealing with Tardy Employees
Chronic tardiness is not just any minor offence, but it is an unethical and unprofessional way of performing your duties as an employee. Obviously, the company does not pay employees to be late. So, what is the best action to stop these grievous behaviours? Orienting employees with policies regarding tardiness is the initial move. The late employee should be asked for an explanation, but there should be a stronger and tighter policy for successive tardiness such as suspension. If there is no effective changes after suspension, perhaps job termination is the answer. Most often than not, this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated.
